Call for Session Proposals

The Jeju Forum Secretariat is delighted to invite organizations to submit session proposals for the 19th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity.
01 FORUM OVERVIEW

02 SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
· Proposals must be submitted via email to jf_session@jpi.or.kr no later than Thursday, February 15th, 2024. Late submissions will NOT be accepted. The proposal form is attached to this notice.
· The proposal must be signed by an individual with the capacity to represent the organization to be eligible for evaluation.
03 EVALUATION
· Each proposal will be evaluated by the organizing committee based on the below criteria.
o Is the topic of the proposed session aligned with the Jeju Forum’s purpose of promoting peace and prosperity and consistent with the main theme?
o Is the title of the proposed session original and interesting?
o Do the proposed speakers have the expertise to discuss the topic?
o Has the proposal been written and submitted in conformity with the attached form?
o Is there an adequate plan to promote the session to the intended audience?
· Submitted proposal may be rejected, requested to amend, or asked to co-organize with another session.
· The evaluation results will be individually notified.
· Accepted proposals are to be considered an initial draft, and will be subject to further development in cooperation with the Jeju Forum Secretariat.
03 PARTICIPATING FEE
· Once the session proposal is officially accepted, USD 7,000 per session must be wired to Jeju Forum Secretariat.
· Jeju Forum Secretariat will provide:
o Venue with a stage and basic equipment with an audience capacity of up to 100 seats.
o Hybrid meeting system that will allow online speakers to partake in the session. This does NOT include livestreaming services on YouTube.
o Simultaneous interpretation between English and Korean.
o 10 lunch and dinner vouchers for designated local restaurants during the Forum period.
· Jeju Forum Secretariat will NOT cover:
o Cost of inviting speakers including flight, lodging, meals, and ground transportation.
o Any other cost not specified by Jeju Forum Secretariat as provided.
