존 델러리(John DELURY)는 중국사를 전공한 역사학자이자 미중 관계 및 한반도 문제 전문가이다. 현재 아시아소사이어티(Asia Society) 선임연구원이자 이화여자대학교에서 방문 연구위원으로 활동하고 있다. 그는 『Agents of Subversion: The Fate of John T. Downey and the CIA’s Covert War in China』(Cornell, 2022)의 저자이며, 오빌 셸(Orville Schell)과 함께 『Wealth and Power: China’s Long March to the Twenty-first Century』(Random House, 2013)를 공동 집필하였다. 또한 『Foreign Affairs』, 『The New York Times』 등 다양한 매체에 기고하고 있다. 2023년에는 로마 미국아카데미(American Academy in Rome)의 중국학 분야 초대 차오 펠로우(Tsao Fellow in China Studies)로 선정되었으며, 이후 이탈리아에 머물며 루이스대학교(Luiss University)와 존 캐벗대학교(John Cabot University)에서 방문교수로 활동하였다. 이전에는 10년 이상 연세대학교 국제학대학원에서 중국학 교수로 재직하였다. 존 델러리 박사는 미국외교협회(Council on Foreign Relations), 미중관계전국위원회(National Committee on U.S.-China Relations), 북한전국위원회(National Committee on North Korea) 회원이며, 태평양세기연구소(Pacific Century Institute) 이사, 케넌연구소(Kennan Institute) 및 유럽북한연구센터(European Centre on North Korean Studies) 펠로우, 『Global Asia』 지역 편집위원으로도 활동하고 있다. 예일대학교에서 역사학 학사, 석사, 박사 학위를 취득하였다.
