 JDC 청년평화토크쇼: 평화와 포용의 사회 구현, 청년의 역할

Within Jeju Forum, a platform of discussion for peace and prosperity, <JDC Youth Peace Talk Show> intends seek ways to realize a peaceful, tolerable society, in perspectives of youth. The importance of multilateral cooperation and global solidarity is emphasized in the crisis of nationalism occurred during pandemic. Hence there is no doubt the exchange and collaboration between the youth will have significant meaning in establishing a foundation of peace for the future.
The event will be carried out by a lecture on “The April 3rd Uprising and Massacre” in Jeju by Hyun Ki-Young, followed by a talk on the shift of perspective on peace in the era of pandemic by Song Kil-Young. Moreover, the youngsters from different parts of the world will form debates on the role of youth to achieve world peace. It is expected the event will flourish with peaceful values driven by youth.

「JDC 청년평화토크쇼」는 평화와 번영을 위한 논의의 장인 제주포럼에서 미래세대인 청년의 시각으로 평화롭고 포용적인 사회구현을 위한 청년들의 역할에 대해 함께 모색하고자 한다. 팬데믹으로 심화되는 자국 우선주의 위기 속에서 글로벌 연대와 다자협력은 더욱 중요하다. 특히 차세대 주역인 청년 간의 평화에 대한 교류, 협력은 미래 평화의 기반을 마련하는 데 더욱 의미가 깊다.
본 행사에서는 제주의 대표 평화가치인 제주4.3을 주제로 한 현기영 작가의 강연에 이어, 팬데믹 시대의 평화에 대한 새로운 생각을 주제로 빅데이터 전문가인 송길영 바이브컴퍼니(전 다음소프트) 부사장의 강연이 진행된다. 또한, 한국과 외국청년이 참여하여 평화에 대한 청년의 역할에 대해 토론할 예정이다. 미래세대 주역 ‘청년’이 중심이 되는 본 행사를 통해 평화가치의 확산을 기대한다.
