[Ministry of Foreign Affairs 외교부] Since the Korean president's declaration of the New Southern Policy in November 2017, it has actively strengthened its cooperation with other countries including ASEAN member states and India to contribute to sustainable peace and prosperity in the region beyond the Korean Peninsula. The Korean government also has sought to reinforce its cooperation with the member states based on the three pillars of People, Prosperity, and Peace to create a people-centered prosperous and peaceful community in the region. Laying emphasis on People of the three pillars, this session will discuss how to foster personnel exchange between ASEAN and the ROK especially in the tourist industry. 한국 정부는 2017년 11월 대통령의 신남방 정책 천 명 이후 아세안 및 인도 등 역내 국가들과 제반 분야 에서 협력을 획기적으로 강화하는 신남방 정책 추진 을 통해 한반도를 넘어 역내 지속가능한 평화와 공동 번영에 기여하고자 적극 노력하고 있으며, 특히 ‘사 람 중심의 평화와 번영의 공동체’ 비전을 지향하면서 3P(People, Prosperity, Peace)를 중심으로 역내 국가별 실질협력을 강화해 가고 있다. 이 세션에서는 역내 국민이 체감할 수 있는 상호 실질 협력을 더욱 가속화하기 위해서 3P 중 People에 방점 을 두고 협력의 주체인 양국 국민간 인적교류의 증진, 특히 관광분야에서의 교류 활성화 방안을 논의하고 구체적이며 실질적인 조치를 모색하는 기회를 가질 예정이다. 외교 최전선에서 신남방 정책 실무 총괄 역할을 수행하 고 있는 외교부 남아시아태평양국장(또는 심의관)의 사 회로 한-아세안 양측 정부, 학자, 전문가 및 국제기구 관계자 등을 초청하여 인적교류의 현황, 장애 및 촉진요 인, 추진방안 등을 다층적 관점에서 다루고자 한다.
