[Jeju International Council 제주국제협의회] In the global age, changes are needed to improve standard of Jeju tourism for the world. We also need to move away from relying heavily on Japanese and Chinese tourists and provide new directions at the strategic level. The session discusses challenges and problems faced by Jeju tourism, needs for revision of Special Acts on Jeju and administrative procedures, and changes in the roles of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Jeju Free International City Development Center. Various directions for changes discussed in the session will be the driver for changes for the future of Jeju Tourism. 글로벌 시대에 제주관광의 국제화를 위하여 새로운 변화가 필요하고 해외관광객을 유치하며 중국, 일본에 의존하는 관행에서 벗어나 국제적 수준의 관광정책을 수립하여 세계적인 국제 관광지로 도약하기 위하여 제주관광이 직면하고 있는 도전과 과제를 해결하고 제주관광산업의 미래를 위한 제주특별법의 개정과 여러 가지 제도 개선의 필요성을 논의하고, 제주특별자치도와 제주관광공사의 역할의 변화를 공론화 하여 제주관광의 다양한 변화의 방안을 제시하고 제주관광의 미래를 위한 새로운 동력을 만들고자함
