[Jeju Free international city Development Center(JDC) 제주국제자유도시개발센터]<BR><BR>The Jeju Healthcare Town is a mega-sized national project as one of the core projects for Jeju Free Inter-national City. Since 2012, constructions have been going on over almost half of total site. However, there are expectations and concerns mingled at the moment about economic vitalization and attraction of commercial hospital industry. By reviewing the present future of the JHCT, JDC wants to hear from experts for successful development of this project.<BR><BR>제주 헬스케어타운은 제주 국제자유도시를 위한 글로벌 의료인프라를 조성하는 대규모 국가 사업이다. 2012년 해외 투자 유치를 시작으로, 2017년 현재 전체 부지의 절반 가량에서 건축공사가 진행 중이다. 국내 1호 외국의료기관, 호텔, 웰니스몰, 콘도 등이 단계적으로 준공되어 올해 하반기부터 운영될 예정이다. 하지만 일부 시설 개장 및 운영을 앞둔 현 시점 에 헬스케어타운에 대한 기대와 우려가 공존하고 있다. 헬스케어타운 활성화로 유입인구 증가 및 지역경제 발전기여를 기대함과 동시에 잔여부지 내 의료 산업 관련 기업 유치 가능성에 대한 우려가 있다. 이것은 사업시행자인 JDC가 헬스케어타운의 미션 달성을 위해 고민해야 하는 과제다. 이러한 상황에서 JDC는 현재 헬스케어타운의 모습을 짚어보고 향후 사업의 성공적인 개발 및 발전 방향이 무엇인지 각 분야 전문가들의 의견을 듣고자 한다.
