김영목 대표는 40년 넘게 외교부에 봉직한 Career의 외교관으로, 주 유엔 대표부 공사 한반도 에너지 개발 기구 사무차장, 주 이란 대사, 주 뉴욕 총영사 등을 역임했다. 김영목 대표는 한반도 에너지 개발 기구 대표로서, 그 이전에는 한국 정부 대표로서 북한의 핵 프로그램 동결과 그 이행을 위한 협상과 사업 수행에 상당 기간 참여했다. 외교관으로서 은퇴 후인 2013년에서 2016년까지 한국의 무상 원조 개발 총괄 기관인 한국 국제 협력단 (KOICA) 이사장에 재직했으며, 2017년 12월부터 한국 지앤엠글로벌문화재단의 공동 대표로 재임 중이다.

As a 40 years’ career diplomat, ambassador Young-Mok Kim, since joining the Foreign Ministry in 1976, was assigned to various posts including Cote d’Ivoire, the United States, Singapore, the ROK mission to the United Nations, and the Korea Energy Development Organization (KEDO) - a multilateral consortium established in New York to deal with the North Korean Nuclear Program. He participated in negotiations with North Korea as representative of KEDO and also of the Korean government in relation to serve forgoing of North Korea’s nuclear program and carried out projects within that framework. He served as ROK Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran and as the Consul General in New York. Mr. Kim also served as president of KOICA, the aid agency of Korea from 2013 to 2016. He is serving as co-president of Grace and Mercy Foundation Korea from December 2017. Grace and Mercy Korea is a non-profit foundation helping academia, NGOs, cultural community and young generation nurturing faith both in outside Korea.
