Deputy Director-General of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Scientific Af 기후환경과학외교국 심의관
Tong-Q LEE is a Deputy Director-General of the Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Scientific Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

For over 20 years, he has served the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically focused on environmental issues. He was a Head of Climate Change and Environment Team, Counselor of the Korean Permanent Mission to the United Nations and actively involved in SDGs and Rio+20 Negotiation. Prior to his current position, he served as a Deputy Consul-General of the Korean Consulate General in Hamburg. He became a Deputy Director-General of the Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Scientific Affairs Bureau in 2018 and has actively engaged in a wide spectrum of environmental issues including the climate change negotiations.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science & Diplomacy at Yonsei University, and Master’s Degree in International Security at Yonsei Graduate School of Public Administration. He studied Environment and Regulation at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK, and Law and Development at the University of Warwick, UK.


이동규 심의관은 20년이 넘게 외교부 근무를 해오는 동안 특히 환경분야 업무를 수행해 왔다. 이 심의관은 기후변화환경과 팀장을 거쳐 주유엔대표부 참사관으로 근무하면서 지속가능발전 및 기후변화 등 환경 업무를 담당하였다. 기후환경과학외교국 심의관으로 임명되기 전 주함부르크총영사관에서 부총영사를 역임하였으며 2018년 기후환경과학외교국 심의관으로 부임하여 기후변화 협상 등 환경 및 에너지•과학 분야에서 활발히 활동하고 있다. 이 심의관은 연세대학교에서 정치외교학 학사학위, 동 행정대학원 석사학위를 취득하였으며, 영국 정경대학(LSE)에서 ‘환경과 규제’ 과정 연수, 워릭대학교에서 ‘법과 개발’ 석사과정을 수료하였다.
