Tae-youn, Kim was born on May 19, 1961 on the Jeju Island. He had researched on Jeju's environmental policies since 1997 when the Jeju Research Institute was established.
His most recent research has focused on designating the Jeju national park to an expansion designation business. The purpose of study is to appoint Orum and Gotjawal as the national park including the area around Mt. Halla national park.
lt was already selected for president Moon Jae-in’s Jeju pledge and the development of environment is accomplishing feasibility study of appointing national park. With the value of national park, the goal is to contribute to regional development and income creation while systemically preserving nature. He dedicates himself to informing all the world of the natural environment value of Jeju through various studies that need for improving value of natural environmental assets which it has.


김태윤은 1961년 5월 19일 제주 출생으로, 1997년 제주연구원이 출범할 때부터 지금까지 주로 제주지역의 환경정책에 대해 연구하고 있다.
최근 연구는 제주국립공원 확대 지정사업 연구이다. 본 연구는 한라산국립공원 주변지역을 포함하여 오름, 곶자왈 등을 국립공원으로 지정하기 위한 것이다. 이미 대통령 지역공약에 포함되었고, 환경부에서 국립공원 지정 타당성 연구를 수행하고 있다. 국립공원 브랜드 가치를 이용하여 자연을 체계적으로 보전하면서 지역발전과 주민소득 창출에 기여하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 그는 제주가 갖고 있는 자연환경자산의 가치를 높이는데 필요한 다양한 연구를 통해 제주의 자연환경 가치를 전 세계에 알리는데 기여하고 있다.
