Dr. Hyun obtained his Ph.D degree from University of Tokyo, majoring in political science. His main research area is Russian and Eurasian International Politics, North Korea-Russia Relations, Conflict and Terrorism. He became a senior researcher at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade from 1994 to 1999, and he was a HK research professor at Hanyang University from 2009 to 2014, and a policy advisor at National Intelligence Service from 2008 to 2014. Also, he was a research director at Korean Association of Slavic Studies in 2013 and Korean Association of Eurasian Studies in 2014. Currently, he is a research fellow at International and Strategic Studies division of Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU).
<BR><BR>현승수 박사는 현재 통일연구원 국제전략연구실의 연구위원을 역임하고 있다. 박사학위는 일본 동경대의 정치학과에서 취득하였으며, 주요 연구영역은 러시아 유라시아 국제정치, 러북관계, 분쟁 및 테러이다. 1994년부터 1999년까지 외교통상부 외교안보연구원 책임연구원을 역임했으며, 2007년부터 2013년까지 한국외대, 국민대, 숙명여대, 연세대, 한양대의 강사직을 맡았다. 2009년부터 2014년까지 한양대 아태지역연구센터에서 HK연구교수로서 역임하였고, 2008년부터 2014년까지 국가정보원 테러정보통합센터의 정책자문위원으로 활동하였다. 그리고 2013년에는 한국슬라브학회에서, 그리고 2014년에는 한국유라시아학회에서 연구이사를 역임하였다.
