Born in 1967, Ms. Miho Watanabe holds a B.A in Law from Waseda University (Tokyo), and MPS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University (NY). She started her career in private sector while also becoming involved in promotion of CEDAW in Japan. Since 2003 she assumes position as a researcher in the Office of Research and International Relations at National Women’s Education Center of Japan (NWEC). Her current role includes conducting research on women’s career, e-learning and gender statistics. She also conducts international programs on trafficking in ASEAN region. She has been teaching women’s career and gender in college and universities. Her published articles and reports as NWEC researcher includes topics on women’s lifelong education, gender statistics, and gender mainstreaming in university.
