Dr. Suh is a specialist on security strategy and defense policy. He graduated from Department of International Relations at Seoul National University and got Ph. D. Degree in Political Science at the same university. He has worked for KIDA since 1986, and was appointed as Senior Member of Presidential Transitional Committee in 2002, Assistant Secretary-General of National Security Council at Blue House in 2003, and Senior Secretary to the President for National Security at Blue House in 2006. He serves concurrently as Adjunct Professor at University of North Korean Studies, Director of Korean Political Science Association, Director of Korean Association of International Studies, and Co-representative of Unification Movement Headquarter of Young Koreans Academy(NGO).
<BR><BR>서주석(徐柱錫) 박사는 안보전략 및 국방정책 전문가이다. 서울대학교 외교학과를 졸업하고 같은 대학 대학원에서 정치학박사 학위를 받았다. 1986년부터 KIDA 연구위원으로 재직하였고, 2002년 제16대 대통령직인수위원회 통일외교안보분과 인수위원을 거쳐 2003년에 국가안전보장회의(NSC) 사무처 전략기획실장, 2006년에 대통령비서실 통일외교안보정책 수석비서관으로 임명됐다. 대통령자문 정책기획위원회 위원, 청와대 국방발전자문위원, 민주평화통일자문회의 자문위원, NSC 및 통일부 정책자문위원, 미국 랜드연구소 방문연구원, 미국 노스캐롤라이나대학교 방문학자 등을 역임했고, 현재 북한대학원대학교 겸임교수, 한국정치학회 및 한국국제정치학회 이사, 흥사단민족통일운동본부 공동대표 등을 맡고 있다.
