Dr. Kim, Kyun-Tae was majoring in nuclear engineering from Seoul National University and KAIST, received his doctorate in 1991 at KAIST. From 1990 to present, he worked in KINS, built up over 10 years of practical experience in the field of audit of the accident analyses and investigation of events. He has undergone the position of managers in technical standards department and next generation reactor safety department, and the position of director in nuclear safety division. In 2012 ~ 2014, he has worked as advisor to the chairman of the Nuclear Safety & Security Commission. Recently, he has been leading the projects, concentrated on the strengthening safety of NPPs reflecting the lessons-learned from Fukushima accident, such as Vienna Declaration on Nuclear Safety (Feb. 9, 2015), Task Force for preparing severe accident regulation, and development of methodology for radiation effect analysis of severe accident. Now he is currently working as director of Emergency Preparedness Division in KINS.
Since 2009, he has been working as a secretary at the Korean Nuclear Society, and a vice president for the policy division since 2014.

김균태박사는 서울대와 KAIST에서 원자력공학을 전공하였고, 1991년 KAIST에서 박사학위를 받았다. 1990년부터 현재까지 KINS에서 근무하였으며, 사고해석 분야의 심사 및 사건 조사 분야에서 10년 이상의 실무경험을 쌓았다. 이후 기술기준실장, 미래원자로연구실장, 안전총괄부장 등의 보직을 거쳤으며, 2012~2014에는 원자력안전위원회 위원장 자문관으로 일하였다. 최근에는 후쿠시마원전사고 이후의 원자력안전성 개선에 관심을 갖고 일하고 있으며, 원자력안전에 관한 비엔나협약, 중대사고를 포함한 사고관리의 규제강화, 사고시 방사선의 소외영향 평가체계의 개선 등의 과제를 이끌고 있다. 현재는 KINS에서 비상대책단 단장으로 일하고 있다.
원자력학회에서는 2009~2011 및 2015~현재 이사로 활동하고 있으며, 2014년부터는 정책분야 연구부회장을 맡고 있는 등 대외활동도 활발히 하고 있다.
