신동일은 제주연구원의 선임연구위원이다. 그는 경기대학교 대학원에서 관광경영학박사를 취득하였고, 2000년도부터 제주연구원에서 근무를 시작하였다. 그는 제주특별자치도의 관광 정책과 관련한 다양한 위원회 활동을 하고 있기도 하다. 신동일 선임연구위원의 주요 연구 부문은 제주특별자치도의 도 단위 또는 마을 단위의 관광정책과 지역계획이다. 그는 꾸준히 웰니스, 생태, 레져, 문화관광 정책 관련 이슈와 해결 방안들을 연구하고 있다. 특별히 그는 관광객과 지역주민의 상생과 공존을 위한 연구에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다.

Dong Il Sin is the Senior Researcher of Jeju Research Institute. He is completed his a PH. D. in tourism management Kyonggi University, Korea. He started his researching career in Jeju Research Institute 2000. He is a member of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province on Tourism Policy Planning. Researcher Sin’s research area is focus on the tourism policy and Regional planning of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. He continually presents on issues related to wellness and eco, leisure, cultural tourism policy. In particular, he is working on a win-win approach for tourists and local residents.
