Zou Yue is the anchor for CGTN’s flagship talk show DIALOGUE. Zou became a correspondent of CCTV in August 2003. He became the Head of Anchors Team of CCTV International in 2009. He has been the anchor of CHINA 24, a news magazine show on CCTV NEWS, the predecessor of CGTN, from 2010 to 2020.
Zou has covered a wide range of topics including political events, natural disasters and human-interest stories. Since 1997, he has covered many major events across China, including the 1998 Yangtze Flood, Hong Kong and Macao’s return to Chinese sovereignty, China’s first manned space flight, Beijing Olympics, Wenchuan Earthquake, Shenzhou and Chang’e Space Missions, APEC summit in Beijing, G20 Meeting in Hangzhou and annual meetings of China’s National People’s Congress.
His work “The Great Yongle Bell” won the Rainbow Award for International Communication in 1998. He won the Golden Microphone Award in 2013, the top prize for broadcasters in China.
Previously, Zou was a reporter for Wuhan TV where he had primary editorial and newsgathering responsibilities for the local new coverage. He anchored the 15-minute daily English news program. Zou got his Master’s degree of arts in Literary Criticism from Central China Normal University.
