The person who wants to introduce the Jeju operas into the world, Ms. Neunghee Oh graduated Jeju National University with her Bachelor's degree. She continued and received her Master's degree in Italy in advanced opera studying.

Then she also continued and completed her Doctor's degree in Germany and Austria.

She established the Jeju Opera laboratory for cultural settlement Jeju Island in May, 2015.

Even there are many efforts for the provincial cultural settlement though, there are not many stages for the artists in Jeju.

Nevertheless, Ms. Neunghee Oh tries to develop the opera fields for the young artists in Jeju. Also, she makes an effort for the culture and art system.

<문화예술의 섬 : 제주> 제주에 오페라를 담고, 제주 담은 오페라가 세계속에 펼쳐지는 꿈을 꾸는 사람. 소프라노 오능희는 제주대학교에서 성악을 전공해 이탈리아에서 전문 오페라과정과 오페라 해석 및 연구과정으로 석사 학위를 받았다. 이후 독일과 오스트리아에서 박사과정을 수료하고 제주로 돌아와 제주의 척박한 오페라 환경에 관심을 기울이기 시작. 2015년 5월 제주에 오페라 문화정착을 위해 제주오페라연구소를 설립했다. 지역문화의 세계화를 얘기하지만 정작, 지역예술인이 설 자리가 없는 현실속에서 지역문화예술 발전에 기초가 될 후학양성과 제주에서도 자생할 수 있는 문화예술 생태계 조성에 힘쓰고 있다.
