Dr. Vo Van Sen is a professor of and an expert on the History of Vietnam, Contemporary History of Vietnam, Economic History of Vietnam, the Vietnam War, History of Vietnamese Culture, etc. In addition, he is a member of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council. He acquired rich experiences having assumed over 20 major positions in well-known academic affiliations such as Association of Vietnamese Historians; Journal of American History, Organization of American Historians; Vietnam National University of HCM City; Korean Studies Association in Southeast Asia (KSASA), Australia. He was invited by Harvard University, USA to be a visiting scholar for one year during academic year 1992-1993; and from 1998 to 2000, he was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Asian Studies, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business Administration, Japan. Apart from undergraduate and post graduate teaching, he has been in charge of supervising over 100 master theses and doctoral dissertations; and attended numerous international seminars, symposiums, workshops, conferences in the USA, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Austria, Malaysia, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea and China. He has also written over 60 books in English and Vietnamese including “The Significance of Vietnamese Korean Cultural Exchanges to the Development of New Asia.”

보 반센 총장은 베트남의 역사, 경제, 전쟁, 문화등에 대해 연구한 뛰어난 석학이다. 베트남 인민위원회의 의원이며 베트남역사위원회, 미국역사저널, 동북아시아 한국연구회(KSASA) 같은 학술연구회등에서 20개가 넘는 중요한 지위들을 역임한 바 있다. 1992년부터 1993년까지 하바드 대학에서 1년간 초빙교원으로 있었으며 1998년에서 2000년에는 일본 나고야 무역경제행정 대학에서 외국어 및 아시아연구학과에서도 초빙교원으로 활동했다. 학부와 대학원 강의 외에 100개가 넘는 석사논문 심사위원을 행했고 미국, 일본, 태국, 필리핀, 오스트리아, 말레이시아, 인도, 호주, 홍콩, 한국, 중국등에서 개최하는 국제 세미나, 심포지엄, 워크숍에 참가한 바 있다. 60개가 넘는 베트남어와 영어책들을 저술했으며 그 중에 “새로운 아시아 개발을 위한 베트남과 한국간의 문화교류의 의미”라는 책이 있다.
