John Hudson is a national security reporter at the Washington Post covering the State Department and diplomacy. John and a team at the Post were recognized as finalists for the Pulitzer Price in Public Service in 2019 for their reporting on the murder of Jamal
Khashoggi by Saudi agents. John traveled to Singapore and Hanoi for his coverage of President Trump’s efforts to reach a disarmament deal with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He has also
reported from several geopolitical hotspots, including Afghanistan, Ukraine, Pakistan, Colombia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and China. In 2008, he covered the August war between Russia and Georgia from Tbilisi and the breakaway region of Abkhazia.
