진승헌은 현재 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) 정보보호연구본부의 본부장으로서 정보보호 R&D를 총괄하고 있다. 진승헌은 1999년까지는 삼성전자에서 통신시스템을 개발하였고 1999년부터 현재까지 ETRI에서 암호, 인증, 지능형 사이버위협 대응 등의 다양한 핵심기술을 개발하고 민간·공공 영역에 기술 이전하는 등 정보보안 관련 기술 연구 및 개발을 하고 있다. 또한, 과학기술연합대학원대학교(UST)에 정보보호공학 교수를 겸임하면서 정보보호 전문 인력양성에도 힘쓰고 있다.

Dr. Jin is currently the head of the information security research division at ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) in Korea leading Information Security R&D for public and private sectors. Dr. Jin developed a communication system at Samsung Electronics until 1999 and has been researching and developing information security technologies at ETRI since 1999 to date, including the development of various core technologies such as cryptography, authentication and intelligent cyber threat response, and transferring developed technologies to many private and public organizations. In addition, he is also a professor of information security engineering at the University of Science and Technology (UST), and is also making effort to train human resources specialized in information security.
