최진석은 일본 히로시마 대학교 종합과학부 조교수이다. 1973년에 서울에서 태어나 일본 동경에서 자랐다. 텐트연극「野戦之月」(야전의 달) 배우. 지금까지 간행한 번역서로는 『李箱作品集成』(이상 작품 선집)과 양귀자의『원미동 사람들』등이 있다. 저서로는『朝鮮人はあなたに呼びかけている』(조센진은 당신에게 말 걸고 있다) 등이 있다.

Choi Jinseok is Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, Hiroshima University. Born in Seoul in 1973, raised in Tokyo. Author and actor who has performed with the theater group Yasen no Tsuki. His publications include Yi Sang sakuhin shū (Collected works of Yi Sang, ed., trans.), (Sakuhinsha, 2006); Chōsenjin wa anata ni yobikaketeiru: heito supeechi o koete (Chōsenjin are calling out to you: Going beyond ‘hate speech’) , (Sairyūsha 2014). His recent performances include, Mo-nuke tendenko, Tokyo, May, 2013.
