1964년 제주도 출생. 제주대학교 국어국문학과에 재직하면서 문학평론가로도 활동하고 있다. 저서로 <4·3의 진실과 문학>(2003), <제주문학론>(2008), <작은 섬, 큰 문학>(2017) 등이 있다.

Born in Jeju Island in 1964. He also works as a literary critic while working in the Korean language & literature department at Jeju National University. The books include <April 3 Truth and Literature> (2003), <Jeju Literature Theory> (2008), <Little Island, Big Literature> (2017).
