매일경제신문 논설위원으로 일하고 있다. 한미,남북 문제 등 외교안보와 거시경제, 통상 등을 주로 담당한다. 1989년 매일경제에 입사 한 뒤 여러 부서를 거쳤고 2005~2006년 노무현 정부 청와대 취재를 전담했다. 2009년까지 미국 워싱턴DC에서 3년간 특파원으로 일하면서 버락 오바마 대통령 당선과 글로벌 금융 위기를 취재했다. 이후 경제부장 등을 역임했다.연세대학교 정치학으로 학사, 석사학위를 마쳤고 미국 미주리대 저널리즘스쿨 비지팅스칼라도 거쳤다.2018년 동국대 법학과에서 ’언론보도로 인한 연예인의 프라이버시권 침해와 보호 방안에 관한 연구’ 논문으로 박사학위를 취득했다. 저서로는 경제의 창으로 보는 세상(2016), 워싱턴특파원 1200일의 기록(2009) 등이 있다.

Mr. Yoon is working as an editorial writer of the Maeil Kyungje - economic daily in South Korea. His specialties are foreign affairs, national security, macroeconomics and trade issues. Since joining the Newspaper in 1989, he has been in various departments, including the Blue House correspondence during President Roh’s regime in 2005-2006. He was the Washington DC correspondent in 2006-2009, covering the election of President Obama, and the global financial crisis among other important events. He has served as the Managing Director of general economic issues in 2010.He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in political science at the Yonsei University. In 2018, he completed his Doctorate studies in Law at the Dongkkuk University with the thesis `A study on the celebrities’ privacy right invasion and protection method from the media’. His publications include “The world through the eyes of Economy”(2016), and “1200 days of Washington DC Correspondent” (2009).
