정구현은 연세대 명예교수다. 2018년 J Campus 라는 연구소를 설립해 경제와 기업경영 이슈에 대한 연구를 하고 있다. 서울국제포럼 이사장과 한국경영교육인증원 이사장을 통해서 봉사하고 있다. 1978년부터 2002년까지 연세대학교에서 강의했으며, 같은 대학에서 동서문제연구소장과 경영대학원장을 역임했다. 2003년부터 2008년까지 삼성경제연구소 소장을 하면서 연구소 업그레이드와 국제화에 기여했다. 2011년부터 2017년까지 KAIST 경영대학에서 초빙교수로 강의했다. 최근 몇 년간 한국 기업과 동아시아 경제에 초점을 맞춰 여러 권의 책을 출간했다. 가장 최근 저서는 "1960~2020년 동아시아 기업의 부상" 이다. 1969년 서울대학교 경영학과를 졸업하고 1976년 미국 미시간대학에서 박사학위를 받았다.

JUNG Ku-Hyun is Professor Emeritus of Yonsei University in Seoul. Professor Jung started a research institute, called J Campus, early 2018 to conduct research on contemporary economic and business issues. He is also serving as President of the Seoul Forum for International Affairs and Chairman of Korea Business Education Accreditation Board. He taught at Yonsei University’s School of Business from 1978 to 2002 and served as Director of the Institute of East and West Studies and the Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration at the same university. In 2003, Dr. Jung moved to Samsung Group to serve as President and CEO of Samsung Economic Research Institute and has contributed to the upgrading and internationalization of the Institute. Returning to the academia, Mr. Jung taught at the College of Business of KAIST from 2011 to 2017 as a visiting professor. He has published several books in recent years, focusing on Korean corporations and East Asian economy. His most recent book is titled The Rise of East Asian Corporations: 1960-2020 (Cloud Nine, 2019), published in Korean. Graduated from Seoul National University with B.A. in 1969 and completed graduate studies at the University of Michigan with Ph.D. in 1976.
