	Australian National University 호주국립대 공공정책대학원 Emeritus Professor, Crawford School of Public Policy, The Australian National Un 명예교수, APLN 공동의장 라메쉬 타쿠르 명예교수는 아•태 핵비확산군축 리더십 네트워크(APLN)의 공동의장이자 호주국립대학 크로포드스쿨 핵비확산군축연구소(CNND) 소장이다. 그는 1998년부터 2007년까지 유엔대학교 부총장 및 수석 부총장(겸 유엔 부사무총장)을 역임했다. 인도와 캐나다에서 교육받은 그는 뉴질랜드 오타고대학교에서 국제관계를 가르쳤으며, 호주국립대학 교수 겸 평화연구센터 소장을 맡은 바 있다. 동시에 호주와 뉴질랜드 정부에서 군비 제한과 군축, 국제안보 문제와 관련해 자문을 맡기도 했다. Emeritus Professor Ramesh Thakur is Director of the Centre for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (CNND) in the Crawford School, The Australian National University, and Co-Convenor of the Asia-Pacific Leadership Network for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (APLN). He was Vice Rector and Senior Vice Rector of the United Nations University (and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations) from 1998–2007. Educated in India and Canada, he was a Professor of International Relations at the University of Otago in New Zealand and Professor and Head of the Peace Research Centre at the Australian National University, during which time he was also a consultant/adviser to the Australian and New Zealand governments on arms control, disarmament and international security issues.
