벤자민 야우 홍콩무역발전국 한국지부장은 홍콩 출생으로 영국 캠브리지 대학에서 토목학을, 일본 와세다 대학에서 국제관계학을 수학하였다. 야우 지부장은 지난 18년간 홍콩무역발전국의 다양한 부문에서 업무를 수행하며, 홍콩의 중소기업의 세계 시장 진출을 도왔다.

그는 홍콩무역발전국 일본 도쿄와 오사카지부에서 5년간 근무한 바가 있으며, 현재 한국에서 한국 지부장으로서 3년째 근무하며, 중국, 일본, 한국에서의 풍부한 경험으로 홍콩에서 동아시아 시장 전문가로 활약 중이다.

Born in Hong Kong, and studied in the U.K. and Japan, Benjamin is equipped with a broad international mindset. Joining the Hong Kong Trade Development Council after graduation, he has over eighteen years of experience in pursuing a career connectingHong Kong with international business communities.

At work, Benjamin is specializing in northeast-Asia region including a 5-year assignment in Japan and currently working as Director, Korea for more than 3 years. He is now also the Honorary Advisor of the Hong Kong-Korea Business Association.

Both in and out of work, Benjamin has found nothing satisfies more than meeting new people, developing new skills, solving problems, and contributing to the society improvement.
